Now Available - THE NEW BLOCKADERS "Denn das Schöne ist nichts als des Schrecklichen Anfang" CD (Nihil 107)

$15.00

‘Kein Stress am Esstisch!'

'Ich träumte ich wäre Tristan Tzara, der träumte er wäre ich'

'Wer ist wer und was ist was?'

'Morceau de cire'

'Das Schone Ist Nichts...' (Beauty Is Nothing...) features The New Blockaders in collaboration with Contrastate's Stephen Meixner (a.k.a. srmeixner), Ice Yacht (a.k.a. Philip Sanderson of Storm Bugs), and Guido Huebner (Das Synthetische Mischgewebe), all of whom have been musically active since the late 1970s / early-'80s.

Rupenus and Sanderson first collaborated in 1982 when they were both members of the neo-Dadaist / Industrial non-group Alien Brains. TNB and DSM first collaborated in 2008 on 'The Monosyllabic Bicycles...' LP (Equation.)

'Kein Stress Am Esstsich!,' which features spoken excerpts from TNB's manifesto, was originally performed at The Corsica Arts Club and The Foundry in London in 2004 / '05. The version presented here is a recent reworking of the original piece.

All of these collaborations show a different side to TNB, with a much more subdued / musique concrete approach than their trademark all-out noise assaults.

The CD is housed in a 6-panel digipak featuring new artworks by Guido Huebner.
